WOW! I know this is hard to belive but I am a bit speechless. If you were not able to attend the FUN DAY you missed a " Surrounding Communities Gathering Fund Raising Moment" that will be hard to beat.............. Over 90 Contestants ages ranging from 2-60 showed up this past Saturday. Many spectators, friends and family were there as well in support of our Lil' Squirts (Racea and Tylee's) dad Rory Finch. Cowboys and Cowgirls competed and then DONATED BACK their winnings of the Rodeo and Team Roping. Not to mention the Concessions Stand, the Motorcycle vs. Man Raffle and the Donation Jar that were generously contributed to. Our awesome " Rodeo Families" raised over $4,700.00 for the Rory Finch Family.
As I made last minute stops throughout town. I tried to purchase a few fun prizes for the kids competeing in the rodeo. But I was denied the priveledge of donating to this Cause. Everywhere I went, I got the same response from people................" NO CHARGE, this is on US" Then as I mingled through the spectators and the contestants Saturday, there was no doubt why we were there. A little cowgirl got in her pocket and dropped into the Donation Jar a shopping .37 cents in pennies. Contestants paid there fees of 25.00 presented a 100.00 and said "keep the change". Several people wanted to pay for the Racea and Tylee's Fees, but it was too late gramma took care of that! Several Peewee contestants , raced to the pay window to see if they had won anything and then quickly counted their winnnings and dropped it ALL in the donation jar. Hard core adult cowboys and cowgirls followed in the youths footsteps and repeated this selfless action. Needless to say I was over whelmed. I would even go as far to say" I believe I was witnessing true " Christ like actions". This cowgirl is pretty humble, as I am sure many of you are. So from our Little Rodeo Club...........Thanks you to the community members for all of your support and donations, the list is too long to mention. Without all of us working together this would not have been a success.

Hallie Wood
Just an update for all of the RVRCE fans that have heard. Hallie made it out of surgery, and she is recovering at Phoenix Children's Hospital. The bone and lung scans have come back negative (the cancer did not spread). There will be some treatment, but she is in good spirits. She will be watching you on Saturday so make sure to smile at the Timer Shack as you go by.
